Canada Rocks !!!
What Was I Listening To?
Throughout the late 1990’s and into the early 2000’s I frequently traveled to Canada on business trips. Montreal, Ottawa, Kanata, Oakville, and Toronto were frequent stops. When meetings for the day were completed, I typically headed back to the hotel bar for a snack and a few beverages. The bar’s TV was usually tuned to Canada’s version of MTV called Much Music.
Prior to my Canadian travels I didn’t realize that there were so many bands and performers that were commercially successful north of the border that barely anyone had heard about in the U.S. One of those bands I want to highlight are The Headstones. They are a punk- influenced hard rock band that’s been together for more than 30 years and hail from Kingston, Ontario. Since the 1990’s, I always wanted to catch the band live but The Headstones rarely perform outside of Canada
Today, I discovered by chance that The Headstones have released a new song this week called “Navigate”.
